Visiting Euston Fire Station

Member of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority Caroline Pidgeon AM visited Euston Fire Station in December to meet the Borough Commander and to discuss the challenges of fire safety work at an inner London Fire Station.

Caroline was joined by Lib Dem Parliamentary Campaigner for Holborn and St Pancras Jo Shaw.

”It was a very interesting visit to see the training that takes place and hear about the programmes for young people run by the Fire Brigade in Camden” commented Caroline.

Caroline joins Enfield Lib Dems for their AGM

Caroline was the guest speaker at Enfield Liberal Democrats' AGM in November.

Caroline talked about work on the London Assembly and discussed a number of key transport issues such as the 20% hike in bus fares, funding threats to the Freedom Pass and transport for the Olympics.

Caroline was the guest speaker at Leyton and Wanstead Liberal Democrats’ AGM in November.

The rise in bus fares of 20%, threats to the Freedom Pass and concerns about City Airport noise and expansion were just some of the issues discussed.

New ticket hall improves access for King's Cross passengers

Caroline visited the new ticket hall at the underground at King's Cross station just before it opened at the end of November 2009.

The new ticket hall will help passengers get around form rail and bus to tube far more easily, and has disabled access to most of the platforms.

Caroline joins campaigners for urgent action at Tiger's Head junction

Local residents and campaigners are demanding action to improve safety at the Tiger’s Head junction where Bromley Road meets Whitefoot Lane and Southend Lane.

Today they submitted a petition of over 200 signatures to London Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon, who is chair of the Transport Committee at City Hall. The petition calls for the Mayor of London, who is responsible for the junction, to take urgent measures to improve safety at the intersection.
