Caroline looks at transport issues in Wimbledon
On Saturday 11th July, Caroline visited Wimbledon with Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Shas Sheehan, to campaign on local transport issues.
Caroline, Shas, and local Lib Dem activists collected signatures for the One Hour Bus Ticket petition. They also investigated air quality issues in Raynes Park, and litter problems around Dundonald Road Tramlink station.
Caroline joined Lib Dem Cllr Chunilal Hirani and other local Liberal Democrats out meeting local residents in Wembley Central on Saturday 11th July.
Caroline met with residents from Ruston Mews, which backs onto Ladbroke Grove Tube Station, on Friday 10th July with local Lib Dem campaigner Carol Caruana. Residents have had a huge number of issues with the existing station, including loud announcements. However, with plans to increase the number of trains and lengthen the platforms, even more noise and general problems are feared.
Caroline Pidgeon, the Liberal Democrat London Assembly Transport Spokesperson, joined up recently with Simon Hughes MP, Councillor Adele Morris and local party activists to campaign for the Mayor of London to introduce one hour bus tickets.
