Mayor should use his power to ensure Oxford Street pedestrianisation happens
Caroline Pidgeon has given her strong support to the motion the London Assembly passed, calling for the Mayor to ensure the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street goes ahead, using his emergency powers if needed to overrule Westminster council.

As a number of fundamental issues remain unresolved with expansion, like noise and essential surface transport improvements, the London Assembly has agreed a unanimous motion asserting its opposition to the expansion of Heathrow Airport.

Sadiq Khan has urged Greenwich Council ‘to do the right thing’ in relation to their controversial plans to give the go ahead to Enderby Wharf without any requirement to use non-polluting on-shore power.

Save the RV1 bus
Caroline Pidgeon has joined local campaigners in Southwark in calling for the RV1 bus to run every 10 minutes again, after a recent cut left it running just three times an hour.

Caroline raised in the London Assembly widespread concerns about the bureaucratic and inflexible approach of the Inner North London coroner, and particularly the impact on bereaved Muslim and Jewish families.
Scrutinising the Mayor's draft budget
In January's Assembly session, Caroline grilled the Mayor on his plans to sell off crossrail trains and lease them back from private companies. She also took aim at TfL's overambitious passenger fare estimates in the Mayor's Draft Budget 2018.
