Talking to Dulwich residents

Caroline Pidgeon joined local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate for Lambeth and Southwark Michael Bukola out in Dulwich to speak to local residents about local issues and the upcoming EU referendum. Michael was born in Peckham and is a well known campaigner in the local area for better housing for Londoners and improving air quality.

Speaking to local residents in Barking about policing

Caroline Pidgeon went door knocking in Upney in the Borough of Barking with local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate Elaine Bagshaw. Crime was the biggest issue that came up on the door step. If elected, the Lib Dems would increase police numbers in our neighbourhoods to keep London safe.

Campaigning in Merton

Caroline Pidgeon went out campaigning in Merton with local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate Adrian Hyyrylainen-Trett. They spent time knocking on doors with a petition for step-free access at Raynes Park, and then went on to Wimbledon to speak with local people about Crossrail 2.

Caroline said about the project:

Banning HGVs at peak times will make the roads safer for everyone

Liberal Democrat London Mayoral candidate Caroline Pidgeon has launched a campaign calling for all HGVs and construction vehicles to be banned from central London at peak hours.

The measure is aimed at improving road safety, particularly for cyclists, and reducing freight traffic on London's roads.

Caroline is also calling on everyone working in the construction industry to adopt standards including direct vision lorry cabs, and the confidential reporting of bad practice.

Make Upminster station accessible for everyone

Caroline Pidgeon has given her strong support to local campaigners calling for full disabled access at Upminster station.

Caroline said:

“The London Overground is a vital part of London’s transport network and it is vital that no one is denied access to it.

“Providing step free access to platform six at Upminster station would not just benefit disabled people but many other people as well, including parents with prams.
