Caroline spoke to London Live about the closure of how Hammersmith Bridge is affecting residents in south west London, and why the Conservatives need to stop trying to absolve themselves of the Government's responsibility to help get the bridge open again.
After her final Mayor's Question Time before standing down from the London Assembly, Caroline Pidgeon said:
"16 years, 160 oral questions to the Mayor, 8,300 written questions & countless committees later I've just asked my final question as a London Assembly Member.
The London Assembly has approved Caroline Pidgeon's motion calling for the Mayor to do everything possible to support Hammersmith & Fulham Council in repairing Hammersmith Bridge, and for the Government to accept its responsibility in the delays to date, and finally release the funding needed.
In the London Assembly, Caroline Pidgeon spoke about the concerns that TfL may be accessing EU drivers' data unlawfully in order to issue ULEZ fines. Since the initial reports, further allegations have emerged of unlawful access via an Italian police department.
Labour and the Conservatives have blocked the London Assembly Liberal Democrats' proposal to pilot a London Erasmus-style programme for young people across the capital.
In January's Mayor's Question Time, Caroline raised the issue of the extremely poor service many Dial-a-Ride users across London are experiencing.
Caroline said:
"Under Sadiq Khan, the number of buses for Dial-a-Ride has been cut by 63%.
In the wake of Sadiq Khan's intervention last year to keep Uxbridge police station ahead of the by-election there, Caroline has asked the Mayor to step in and also save Wimbledon police station from closure, as well as ensuring Teddington police station is retained for community use.
Speaking to ITV News, Caroline Pidgeon criticised the short-term approach of the Government to London transport, with inadequate funding deals that result in slower and ultimately more expensive projects.
