Visit My Mosque Day

Caroline Pidgeon, Southwark Lib Dem leader Cllr Anood Al-Samerai, and London Lib Dem chair Chris Maines visited Old Kent Road Mosque for the nationwide Visit My Mosque Day on 18th February.

"The atmosphere was really great, and it was wonderful to support this important day", said Caroline.

Campaigning in Southwark

Caroline joined Southwark Lib Dems in campaigning for May's local elections. "It was great to see the turnout we got and to support our excellent candidates", said Caroline.

Campaigning in Kingston

Caroline joined former Richmond MP Sarah Olney, London Lib Dem chair Chris Maines, and a strong team of Kingston Lib Dems to kick start the campaign for May's local elections.

"It was great to see so much support today and a great team of councillors and candidates," said Caroline.

Campaigning for transport accessiblity in Raynes Park

Caroline joined Merton Lib Dems on a sunny February day in Raynes Park, to draw attention to the need for a lift or ramp to provide accessible step-free access at the station. The team got a very enthusiastic response from local residents.

Cycling vision is under funding pressure

Caroline Pidgeon joined other London Assembly Transport Committee members, and the mayor's cycling commissioner Will Norman, to tour central London's cycling infrastructure on two wheels and see at first hand conditions for the cycling public.

Caroline said:

"The Mayor clearly has a vision for cycling, but it may face pressure from Transport for London’s squeezed budget following central government cuts, the fare freeze and falling revenue from commercial activities."
