Caroline Pidgeon has joined local campaigners in Southwark in calling for the RV1 bus to run every 10 minutes again, after a recent cut left it running just three times an hour.
Caroline said:
“Before the Mayoral election Sadiq Khan promised that “as the son of a bus driver” he would be the champion of our buses.
In February's London Assembly session, Caroline asked the Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton for a progress update on the fire service's resilience, role in counter-terrorism, and collaboration with other emergency services.
Caroline raised in the London Assembly widespread concerns about the bureaucratic and inflexible approach of the Inner North London coroner, and particularly the impact on bereaved Muslim and Jewish families.
As the Mayor announced that only 40% of homes at the TfL owned Limmo Peninsula in East London will be affordable, Caroline Pidgeon expressed concern that TfL's dire financial state is causing corners to be cut.
In January's Assembly session, Caroline grilled the Mayor on his plans to sell off crossrail trains and lease them back from private companies. She also took aim at TfL's overambitious passenger fare estimates in the Mayor's Draft Budget 2018.
