Speaking in the London Assembly, Caroline Pidgeon stressed the urgency of rebuilding trust in the police among Black Londoners.

Caroline said:

"Black Londoners are disproportionately impacted by knife crime.

As the government's financial straitjacket forces Transport for London into the largest fare increases in a decade, London Assembly Transport Committee Chair Caroline Pidgeon said:

"While the PM is on his "levelling up tour", a desperate bid to distract from a scandal-ridden Downing St, his government forces the largest fare increases in London for a decade.

The London Assembly has unanimously approved a motion proposed by the Liberal Democrats to support the Our Streets Now campaign, to make public sexual harassament a specific offence.

The motion calls on the Mayor to:

• Support the campaign and promote it through his channels
• Lobby the Government for street harassment to be made a specific crime
• Work with boroughs, schools and colleges to educate on public sexual harassment

Caroline campaigned in Shadwell supporting Rabina Khan and Simon Tunnicliffe - it was fantastic to see the huge support out there for the Tower Hamlets Liberal Democrats. It was also good to discuss local transport issues.

Caroline went out with some of the fabulous Kingston Liberal Democrats team - Afy, Steph and Sue - in Chessington North, talking to local residents in the sunshine.
