Caroline's news

When will Crossrail eventually open?

Victory at last! – Kennington tube is now in both Zones 1 and 2

Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member, commenting on Kennington London Underground station finally changing tomorrow from a Zone 2 station to a boundary Zone 1 / 2 station, said.

“This is a change I have long campaigned for, as the former councillor that represented the tube station. Rezoning Kennington tube formed part of our Mayor of London campaigns in 2000 with Susan Kramer, and then in 2004 with Simon Hughes.

Thank you Londoners for your trust in us

After the Liberal Democrats gained a seat in the London Assembly elections, with Caroline Pidgeon reelected and Hina Bokhari joining her, Caroline said:

Result! Thank you Londoners for your trust in us and thank you London Liberal Democrats for all your hard work helping to elect a Lib Dem group to City Hall with Cllr Hina Bokhari.

And huge, huge thanks to the one and only Luisa Porritt - what a fabulous inspiring Mayoral candidate.

A more flexible Travelcard for more flexible working

Caroline Pidgeon and Luisa Porritt launched the London Liberal Democrats' flexible Travelcard policy at Oxford Circus on 27th April.

More flexible working means we now need to update travelcards to ensure Londoners get fairer fares. Introducing a travelcard with four days of travel for the price of three reflects our new way of working and gives Londoners a free day of travel around our city.
