Stephen Lawrence's memory and legacy
Marking Stephen Lawrence Day on 22 April, Caroline Pidgeon emphasised how we must continue work to tackle racism, prejudice and intolerance in all of its forms.
Caroline said:
Stephen Lawrence Day is an opportunity to reflect and consider how much more still needs to be done to achieve racial equality across our society and, importantly, what we can do to achieve this.
It was fantastic to join Cllr Victor Chamberlain and Southwark Liberal Democrats out in Borough and Bankside supporting Luisa Porritt and the London Lib Dems. Even the sun made an appearance!
Caroline joined Lambeth Liberal Democrats and London Assembly candidate Florence Cyrot Mele for a day campaigning, talking with Central Hill residents about Lambeth council’s plans to knock down the estate – with no residents’ ballot.
Caroline joined Sarah Olney MP, Richmond Council leader Gareth Roberts, and the Kingston Lib Dem team, to meet voters in the snow (and the glorious sunshine!) in New Malden. The team were pleased with the great response they got!
