Campaigning in the Dollis Hill by-election
Caroline joined Liberal Youth members, Alison Hopkins (Lib Dem candidate in the Dollis Hill by-election), Cllr Daniel Brown and Bob Wharton out and about knocking on doors and talking to local residents on Saturday.
"Alison is a truly local champion having lived for decades in the area. I hope Alison is elected a a strong representative for Dollis Hill working hard on issues such as local libraries" commented Caroline.
Caroline Pidgeon joined Sarah Ludford MEP, Tom Brake MP and Brian Paddick out and about campaigning in Croydon and Sutton on Saturday as part of a big action day in London. The team were joined by Liberal Youth and carried out a residents’ survey in areas such as Waddon.
Caroline Pidgeon joined Brian Paddick and the London Lib Dem team in Wimbledon to launch the Lib Dem campaign on crime and policing for May's elections, with a strong focus on community-based policing.
Caroline Pidgeon joined Lib Dem mayoral candidate Brian Paddick and London Assembly candidate Munira Wilson in Richmond to talk to local residents about their concerns on crime, and campaign for the London Liberal Democrats' policy to build a community approach to policing, and recruit more Police Community Support Officers.
Caroline Pidgeon, along with Brian Paddick, the Lib Dem candidate for Mayor of London, and local London Assembly candidate John Russell, joined members of the Sydenham Society to campaign against the planned closure of the local police station.
Caroline Pidgeon joined Brian Paddick and local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate Shas Sheehan on a visit to Ealing to meet businesses and residents affected by the riots.
Caroline joined Lib Dem Leader Cllr Paul Lorber and local Brent and Harrow candidate Charlotte Henry on Saturday 21st January meeting local library campaigners in Kensal Rise.
Caroline joined local Liberal Democrats in Cann Hall at a public meeting to discuss public transport in the area. Many residents came along to raise concerns from the impact of the Olympics on local streets to issues with bus routes 257 and 58.
Caroline Pidgeon joined local Liberal Democrats including Lewisham and Greenwich Candidate John Russell and Leader Cllr Chris Maines out and about in Lewisham on Friday 27th January. The team were collecting signatures at the dangerous Courthill Road and Lewisham Way junction. Pedestrians literally take their lives into their own hands as they attempt to cross the roads at this junction with traffic in all directions.
