Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member, commenting on the independent report examining the causes of the delays and disruption on the Piccadilly Line over the past two years, said:
“The service provided by the Piccadilly Line has been shocking in recent years.
In a September London Assembly session, Caroline pressed the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation on how their plans for this huge redevelopment will ensure there is adequate childcare and healthcare - particularly A&E capacity.
Assurances that the much needed pedestrian and cycle bridge between Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf is on schedule and could be open to the public by 2020 or 2021 were obtained by Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon, at August's Mayor’s Question Time.
Hackney Liberal Democrat Spokeswoman, Pauline Pearce, had a meeting this week with Matt Twist, the Metropolitan Police Commander for the Met Task Force and Armed Police, to discuss arrest protocols following the death of Rashan Charles in Hackney.
The meeting was set up and attended by Caroline Pidgeon, London Assembly member for the Liberal Democrats.
